Kevin Kelly took over The Enquirer's coverage of Kentucky Speedway in 2004 and stuck with it during a stint as a metro reporter. With the track set to host its first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in 2011, and The Enquirer expanding its coverage, he rejoined the sports department in late 2010 as the motorsports beat writer. Kelly previously covered auto racing for the St. Petersburg Times and The Post and Courier in Charleston, S.C.
